Lisbon: President Draupadi Murmu told Indian researchers on Tuesday in Portugal’s capital Lisbon during a dialogue session that Indians want to win the hearts, not the country. The President told Indian researchers at the ‘Sampalimo Center for Anon’ to become the best representative of India, as they are identified by their country. In response to a researcher’s question, Murmu said, ‘You will gain excellence in education. You will excel in research. You will become a good scholar, you will contribute to the economy and society and follow the rules and regulations here. Go ahead and make India proud. ‘
President answered questions of researchers
The President stood in his place to answer every question asked by the researchers. He said, ‘I went to a country where a senior leader asked me if he wanted to win the Indian world. I said that the Indian does not want to win the country, they want to win the hearts. When asked about the progress of women in India, Murmu said that it is in Indian culture to call Sitaram, Lakshmi Narayan and call people as ladies and gentlemen. Murmu said that she feels proud to see women medal winners, senior women officers and leading women in various fields.

President Murmu said that Portugal is a good friend of India and the people of this country are sociable and generous and this country is full of natural beauty. Portugal President Marsello Rebelo de Susa and Champalimod Foundation President Dr. Leonor Belleja received the President at the Sampalimo Center. On the tour of this center, Murmu and Susa were informed about the way of working of robots that deliver medicines from pharmacy to cancer patients. Murmu also planted ‘Camellia Japonica’ plant on the campus. Sampalimo Center for the Anon, designed by Indian architect Charles Mark Korea, is a great symbol of contemporary architecture grandeur.
