19th East Asia Summit PM Narendra Modi

A free, open, inclusive, prosperous and rules-based Indo-Pacific is vital for peace and progress of the entire region. Important. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the East Asia Summit, “The conflicts going on in different parts of the world are having the biggest negative impact on the countries of the Global South. At the summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed deep condolences to the people affected by Cyclone Yagi. PM Modi said, we believe that maritime activities should be conducted under UNCLOS. It is necessary to ensure freedom of navigation and air space. He said India supports ASEAN’s position on the situation in Myanmar, adding that we believe it is important to continue humanitarian assistance.
