By lifting 250 million people out of poverty in India, we have shown that success is possible through sustainable development. We are ready to share this experience of success with the Global South. Along with this, he said that reform in global institutions is necessary for global peace and development. Reform is the key to relevance. Getting permanent membership of African Union in G-20 in New Delhi was a step in this direction. On one hand, terrorism is a big threat to global peace and security, on the other hand, many areas of conflict have emerged like cyber crime, maritime security, space. On all these subjects, I would strongly say that global action is necessary.
“Balanced regulation is needed for safe and responsible use of technology. We need a global digital governance in which national sovereignty and integrity remain intact. Digital public infrastructure should be a bridge and not a barrier,” said PM Modi at the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations.
