PM Modi welcomed in a unique style in Trinidad & Tobago, Bhojpuri Chautal at the airport

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was welcomed with the traditional performance of Bhojpuri Chautal on reaching Trinidad and Tobago, where he met members of the Indian community and praised his contribution to the development of the country during his first official visit to the Caribbean nation.

In a post on X, PM Modi wrote, “A cultural association that is not elsewhere! It was very happy to see Bhojpuri Chautal performance in Port of Spain. Trinidad and Tobago and India, especially the connection between parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, is notable.”

Sharing a video of the cultural performance on his official X account, PM Modi wrote, “Bhojpuri Chautal echo in Trinidad and Tobago!

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi also met people of the Indian community in Trinidad and Tobago and appreciated his contribution to the development of the country. He said that the migrant community has not only achieved success in various fields, but they are also deeply connected to Indian culture.

The Prime Minister wrote on X, “Many years ago many people from India came to Trinidad and Tobago. In the last few years, he has made a distinct identity in many regions and is enriching the development journey of Trinidad and Tobago. Also, he has maintained his connection with India and has an affection for Indian culture. I am aimed at the local Indian community for unforgettable reception in Port of Spain.”

The Prime Minister also spoke about his meeting with Shankar Ramjatan, Nicholas Maraj and Vince Mahato, who won India in Trinidad and Tobago.

Prime Minister Modi said, “Know India in Trinidad and Tobago (Know India) The winners of the quiz quizzed youths, Shankar Ramjatan, Nicholas Maraj and Vince Mahato.

This is Prime Minister Modi’s first Caribbean visit as Prime Minister and this Caribbean is the first bilateral visit of an Indian Prime Minister after 1999. The yatra is taking place at the invitation of Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Prasad-Bissar.

Prime Minister Modi was welcomed by 38 ministers and four MPs along with Caribbean Prime Minister Kamla Prasad-Bissar. He was given a formal Guard of Honor at Piyarco International Airport.
