PM Modi’s visit to France: Macron advocated India’s permanent membership in UNSC

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday called for furthering their participation in the Indo-Pacific region and various global forums and initiatives, calling on increasing trade and investment relations between the two countries.

The two leaders also underlined their commitment to take concrete action to ensure that the global AI region would provide results in public interest to ensure that the global AI region would provide results in public interest.

 
A joint statement issued after the meeting of the two leaders stated that the talks included the entire dimensions of bilateral relations as well as major global and regional issues.
 
The two leaders emphasized the immediate need to improve the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and agreed to closely coordinate various global issues, including matters of the Security Council.

French President Macron reiterated France’s firm support for India’s permanent membership at UNSC.

The two leaders reiterated their strong commitment to the India-French strategic partnership and noticed that it has developed in a multidimensional relationship in a gradual manner in the last 25 years.
