Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party leader Imran Khan has claimed that a proposal is being made to cancel his disqualification to the former Prime Minister in jail. It is being said in the midst of reports that Pakistan wants to interact with the back door with Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI) government. According to the news of ‘The News’, Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) chief Sahibzada Hamid Raza claimed this during the ‘Capital Talk’ ‘Jio News’ program ‘Capital Talk’ on Tuesday.
Raza said, “The PTI founder did not demand the release of any party leader during a conversation with the government. But in fact, his disqualification is being proposed within three months. “His remarks came after a statement given by a highly placed formula to The News that said that” PTI ‘Once again, the power establishment is trying to talk secretly. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) disqualified Khan from staying in any public position for August 2023 or five years after the lower court verdict in the first Toshkhana case.
Imran Khan has been convicted of corrupt conduct
The election body had said that the former Prime Minister is guilty of corrupt conduct under Section 167 of Elections Act, 2017. Meanwhile, while talking to ‘Geo News’, senior PTI leader and former National Assembly president Asad Kaiser denied the possibility of negotiating with anyone with the back door.
