Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the “noble mission” to end the fight between Ukraine and Russia. Putin made a public comment for the first time on Ukraine’s ceasefire proposal and on Thursday. Putin confirmed on Thursday that the Russia is ready to discuss the ceasefire, but its conditions should be clear.

‘Not interested in short -term ceasefire’

According to the news of ‘RT News’, Putin said in July 2024 that Moscow is not interested in the short -term ceasefire, but is ready to resolve the reasons for the struggle. He said, “Before I assess how I see the readiness of Ukraine for the ceasefire, I would like to thank the US President Trump for the first time to pay so much attention to the solution of the struggle in Ukraine.”

What did Putin say

Putin said, “We all have enough issues to deal with, but many heads of state, the President of China, the Prime Minister of India, the President of the Republic of India, the President of the Republic of India are spending their valuable time to deal with the issue. We are grateful to all of them. ”Both Washington and Ukraine have supported a 30-day temporary ceasefire after a meeting between their respective delegations in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

PM Modi has talked to Putin many times

Since the struggle began in Ukraine in February 2022, Prime Minister Modi has spoken to Putin as well as Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonski several times. During the meeting with Trump at ‘White House’ last month, Prime Minister Modi emphasized that India had not taken ‘neutrality’ in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
