Lahore: In Pakistan’s Punjab province, police on Tuesday killed 4 accused of alleged rape and murder from a 11 -year -old minor girl in an encounter. Giving information about this, a police source said that the suspects who murdered her after raping the girl on March 24 in Bahawalpur district, about 400 km from Lahore, were her relatives. The source said that the accused had 2 girl’s maternal uncle and 2 cousins. He said that the four suspects arrested on March 30 had confessed their crime.
‘Suspicious colleagues fired on police’
The source said, “Since the suspects brutally raped and murdered her, no softening could be done with such poor people.” He said that the accused were killed by the police in an encounter. However, a police statement claimed that, ‘The suspects were taken to a place for the recovery of the weapon used to cut the victim’s throat. While returning after the knife was recovered, the suspects of the suspects fired on the police team. All four suspects were killed in retaliatory firing, while their companions managed to escape.
‘Police initially caught 15 suspects’
Police in -charge Rao Shahzad Babur expressed grief over the heinous incident of rape and murder of a minor girl. He said that the police had initially arrested 15 suspects and sent samples of their DNA for examination. The station in -charge said that the suspects were identified and arrested through investigation. Babur said that the suspects confessed their crime in front of the investigating officer. He said that the victim’s mother is a complainant in this case and she wants ‘justice’ for her daughter as soon as possible.
