Kiev: Russia launched 188 drones in most areas of Ukraine in night attacks. Ukrainian Air Force gave this information on Tuesday. The Air Force said that a record number of drones were used in a single attack. According to the Air Force, most of the drones were destroyed but these strikes caused damage to critical infrastructure like apartment buildings and the national power grid. 17 areas were targeted in these attacks. However, there was no immediate information about any casualty.

Civilian areas are being targeted

Russia has been attacking civilian areas of Ukraine with drones, missiles and glide bombs since the middle of this year. The Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that its security forces destroyed 39 Ukrainian drones overnight in Russian territories near the border with Ukraine. The air raid warning continued for more than seven hours overnight in the Kiev area.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s General Staff said Tuesday that about half of the clashes along its nearly 1,000-kilometer (600-mile) front over the past 24 hours took place near Pokrovsk and Kurakhov in the Donetsk region. According to Western military analysts, the Russian army has maintained its dominance on the battlefield to a great extent for the last one year.
