Missiles fired from Astrakhan
Ukraine has said that Russia used intercontinental missiles (ICBMs) for the first time in war, targeting the Ukrainian city of Dnipro last night. The Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement on Telegram on Thursday that it was fired from Russia’s Astrakhan region. The development comes as the war has taken a more international dimension with North Korean troops arriving to aid Russia on the battlefield.
America’s big role
It is noteworthy that America now seems to be playing a big role in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. The US Defense Secretary has also said a big thing. The US Defense Secretary said that the Biden administration will allow Ukraine to use anti-personnel land mines in the war with Russia.
US embassy closed in Kyiv
America had already become alert in view of the possible attack from Russia. The US Embassy in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, had said that it had received a significant warning about the possibility of a Russian airstrike, due to which the embassy has been closed as a precaution.
