Kiev: Russia has attacked more than 30 cities and villages in Ukraine on Friday and Saturday night. More than 12 people lost their lives and many were injured in this attack. Ukrainian President Vladimir Jailonski issued a sharp statement condemning the attack and demanded immediate action from the international community. Jailonsky tweeted, “Our emergency teams are constantly working on the ground, where there is a need to give relief to the people. I thank for their dedication.”
Jailonski further wrote that the horrors of the Russian attack can be gauged from the fact that Russia attacked about 300 attackers in a single night with drones. Most of it were Iran -built martyr drones, which were sent to the Ukrainian region. Along with this, Russia also attacked various cities with about 70 ballistic and cruise missiles.

According to Ukraine’s President Jelonsky, the main goal of Russian attacks was Zetomir, Khaquranitski, Terranopil, Cherniiv, Sumi, Odesa, Poltava, Niper, Mycolaiva, Kharkiv and Charchasy areas including Ukraine’s capital Kiev. Most attacks were carried out directly on civil areas. University hostels were also targeted in Kiev, causing panic among the students. Also, many industrial units and residential buildings suffered heavy damage.

President Jelnesky said, “This attack is a well thought out strategy to deliberately target common citizens. Many innocent citizens including children lost their lives. It is terrorism. My deep condolences.” Jailonsky described the attack as sufficient basis for new and rigorous sanctions against Russia. Questioning the silence of the US and other Western countries, he said, “The world may be celebrating weekends, but the war continues in Ukraine. The silence of America and other countries is making Putin more aggressive.” He stressed that this cruelty will not stop until the actual and harsh pressure is put on the leadership of Russia.
Forced Russia to end war
Jailonsky said, “All countries seeking peace, including the United States and Europe, will now have to strengthen their resolve. Everyone knows the economic weaknesses of Russia – the war can be stopped only by targeting them.” In the end, Gelnsky warned the world that the time has come to pressurize Russia to be forced to think of ending the war instead of firing the Putin missile. The situation in Ukraine is continuously deteriorating and this attack is a sign that the possibility of ending the war soon seems far away.
