Meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh
Russian President Vladimir Putin meets Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in the Kremlin. Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov was also present in this meeting. This meeting took place under the 21st meeting of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military and Military Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC). According to the Defense Ministry, in this meeting the two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral defense cooperation. Both recognized that the partnership between India and Russia has immense potential and that joint efforts will yield remarkable results.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, “The friendship between our countries is higher than the highest mountains and deeper than the deepest seas. India has always stood by its Russian friends and will continue to do so in the future also.” Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in his post about the meeting, “IRIGC-M&MTC had a very useful meeting with its Russian counterpart Andrei Belousov in Moscow. Reviewing the entire range of bilateral defense relations, we noted the cooperation between the two countries. Discussed ways to deepen cooperation. We are committed to further strengthening the India-Russia special and privileged strategic partnership.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh attended the launching ceremony of Indian Navy’s latest multi-role stealth guided missile frigate INS Tushil at Yantar Shipyard in Kaliningrad, Russia. Rajnath Singh said, “I am very happy to attend the commissioning ceremony of INS Tushil. The ship is a proud symbol of India’s growing maritime power and an important milestone in the long-standing India-Russia bilateral relations “
