Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel on Tuesday morning. In its statement shared on X, the Saudi Foreign Ministry has said that Saudi Arabia has been clear about the need to reduce stress after 11 days of war.

In an official statement issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry, we said, “We welcome the declaration of the ceasefire and urge all the parties to restrain, prioritize talks and prevent stress from increasing.” The ministry also thanked US President Donald Trump for playing an important role in this agreement.

The ministry said, the state further looks forward to the hope that in the coming times all the parties will show their commitment to maintain peace, avoid using force and abstain from the use of threatening language.
Saudi Arabia hopes that it will contribute to restoring security and stability in the agreement area and will help protect the area with ever increasing stress and its dangers.
Emphasis on dialogue and diplomacy
The ministry reiterated that the state is standing on its firm attitude to communicate dialogue and diplomatic mediums to resolve regional disputes and conflicts. The statement also said that this effort should be based on the honor of the sovereignty of the states and the principle of strengthening security, stability, prosperity and progress in the region and the world.
