Cape Canverals: Chinese scientists have analyzed the soil and rocks of the moon. After the analysis, Chinese scientists have stated that the soil and rocks brought from the remote part of the moon indicate that the part may be more dry than the earth’s side. Scientists also said that more samples are needed for a clean picture.

China became the first country

Researchers said that the water found in the moon cover can help explain how the moon developed. Last year, China became the first country to land on the remote part of the moon. The spacecraft ‘Chang’i 6’ extracted a volcanic rock and soil from the South Dhruv-‘Atcon Basin’. Scientists have studied this soil and rock.

What found in analysis

Sen Hu of ‘Chinese Sciences Academy’ said that he and his team took five grams of soil samples. After this, 578 particles were selected with the help of electron microscope for detailed analysis from soil. Hu said that compared to samples collected in the last decades from the Moon, the abundance of water is less than 1.5 micrograms per gram. In samples taken from the near part, this volume ranges from a microgram to 200 micrograms per gram.

Need to study more now

The study published in ‘Nature Jagra’ states that due to low samples, it is not yet clear how broad this dry condition is. It states that more samples need to be studied right now. (AP)
