Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group of at least 41 terrorists were killed in an encounter during an attempt to infiltrate Pakistan from Afghanistan. Giving information about this, an official said that armed fighters were hiding near Bibak Ghar area of North Waziristan tribal district on Friday night, when they encounter the security forces.
Launched search operation
“Most of them were Afghan citizens,” the official said. The official said that after the encounter, security forces have started a search operation in the area to kill the remaining terrorists.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan was established in December 2007 in the northwest regions of Pakistan. The main objective of this organization is to fight against the Government of Pakistan and implement Sharia law in the country. The TTP’s roots are associated with Afghanistan’s Taliban movement, but this organization has been independently active in Pakistan. It was founded by Betullah Mehsud, who was an influential leader of South Waziristan. Organizations are an alliance of many small and big groups, many of which have ideological and strategic relations with Al Qaeda and Afghan Taliban.
What did TTP do
In 2009, TTP captured Pakistan’s Swat Valley, which was later evacuated by the Pakistan Army through Operation “Ra-e-Rasta”. In 2014, the attack by TTP on an Army Public School in Peshawar was extremely frightening, killing more than 140 students and teachers. After 2020, TTP has re -united several scattered groups. The organization has accelerated the attacks, especially in the areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan in Pakistan. (Language)
