Strong security arrangements

To strengthen security arrangements, the federal government of Pakistan has called in paramilitary Rangers and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel to assist the police in maintaining order in the capital. Taking additional security measures, the administration evacuated all the hostels in the city on Friday. The Punjab government has also imposed Section 144 in the entire province from November 23 to November 25, under which protests, public meetings, rallies and dharnas have been banned.
