PM Modi Unveiled ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Initiative Last Year
PM Modi Initiative Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam: Slovakia President Peter Palegini has appreciated the ‘Name of a tree mother’ of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. President Peter said that his country can also consider such an initiative. India’s President Draupadi Murmu told Palegini about this campaign during a plantation program in Nitra on Thursday, the last day of his two -day state visit by Slovakia. Nitra is considered to be the oldest city of Slovakia.
President Murmu mentions PM Modi’s campaign
Located about 100 km from Bratislawa, the city has ‘Tata Motors JLR Plant’ which is the largest investment made by an Indian company in Slovakia. After the Presidents of the two countries visited the plant, the national tree of Slovak Republic of Linden was planted in a public park. Nitra city Mayor Mark Hattas was also present with him. During this, Murmu mentioned Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Name of a tree mother’ initiative.
PM Modi appealed
Last year, Prime Minister Modi had appealed people to plant a tree in the name of his mother on World Environment Day and planted a Peepal tree in a garden in New Delhi. Meanwhile, PM Modi’s ‘Ek tree mother’s name’ campaign was started.
President Murmu meets Indians
President Murmu later met members of the Indian community at an event and asked him to become the brand ambassador of the country. He said that in the last five years, the number of Indian community here has increased four times. He said, “Our youth have made India the third largest startup center in the world and India has now become a global center for e-commerce, AI and many other areas.”
