Seril Ramfosa, President of South Africa.
Johannesburg: South Africa has made a big appeal to the G20 countries to bring out the entire capabilities of the Artificial Intelligence (AI). A South African minister has said that the G20 countries should contact and cooperate with a broad international community to understand the complex landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) and exploit its full potential in service to humanity. South African President Seril Ramposa is also in favor of this demand.
Let me tell you that South Africa’s Communications and Digital Technology Deputy Minister Mondali Gungubelle recently said in a G20 workforce meeting held on AI, data, governance and innovation for sustainable development here, “We are entering the decisive phase of digital industrial revolution, so it is clear that AI economies, governance and daily life is focused on giving new shapes.” South Africa will preside over the G20 for 2025.
Global South can get a chance
“This task force provides an opportunity to understand a platform for continuous communication and cooperation between the G20 members and to understand the complex landscape of AI through a comprehensive international community and to exploit its full potential in service to humanity.” The minister said, “Artificial intelligence not only gives us an opportunity to bridge the digital distance, but also gives the countries of Global South a chance to deal with the triple challenges of poverty, inequality and unemployment.
