Shadow darkness in Panama
After the explosion and fire at the La Chorera thermoelectric power plant, the power suddenly lost power in Panama. Officials say that this problem has occurred due to “technical fault” in a generator of the plant, due to which electricity has gone throughout the country and darkness has occurred. Due to lack of electricity, people are also facing water problems. Firemen are currently trying to extinguish the fire in the power plant, while the authorities have assured people that electricity will be slowly restored in the coming hours.

Addressing the nation through social media, Panama President Jose Raul Mulino said, “The director of Etesa has informed me that suddenly the blackout was due to a private power generator, which activated the security of the system. The service will be slowly restored. Please be calm.”
Water shortage due to electricity
Due to blackouts, many types of daily services have also been severely affected, especially in the entire country, there has been a shortage of water. Explain that water treatment plants and wells in the country are dependent on electricity. As a result, drinking water supply has been suspended until electricity is completely restored. Officials have confirmed that employees are present at each facility, which are ready to resume operations as soon as electricity is available.
