Sudden flood in Afghanistan: 10 people have died due to sudden floods in Afghanistan. An official of the country’s National Disaster Authority has shared this information.

Authority spokesman Mullah Janan Saiq said 10 people were killed and eight others injured in flash floods that hit parts of the country in recent days, reports Xinhua news agency.

SAC said on Wednesday night that 100 residential houses were completely or partially destroyed and agricultural lands suffered severe damage in the natural disaster incidents.

He said the acting head of the authority ordered all provincial officials to take immediate action for the flood-affected people.

Rain-related accidents have killed nearly 400 people, injured hundreds of others and caused massive property damage in various parts of the war-torn country since May.

Qureshi Badlon, the provincial director of information and culture, said on Wednesday that eastern Afghanistan (AfghanistanAt least one person has been confirmed dead and seven others injured as flash floods hit parts of Nangarhar province.

According to the official, heavy rains on Tuesday night caused flash floods in the provincial capital Jalalabad city and neighbouring Surkh Rod district, with initial reports confirming the death of an 18-year-old man.

A similar incident also caused heavy property damage in Panjshir province on Tuesday, a provincial government official said. Several houses, canals and roads were washed away or badly damaged by the flash floods.
