Taiwan reports Chinese military infiltration in his area

Taiwan’s National Defense Minister (MND) has detected the activity of 40 Chinese military aircraft, six naval ships around Taiwan till 6 am (local time) on Saturday.

According to the National Defense Ministry of Taiwan (MND), 27 of the 40 flights crossed the middle line of Taiwan Strait and entered the middle of Taiwan, southwest and eastern air defense identity area (ADIZ). In response to China’s action, Taiwan’s armed forces deployed aircraft, naval ships and coastal missile systems to monitor the situation.

In a post on X, Taiwan’s National Defense Ministry said, “40 flights of PLA aircraft and 6 plan ships were seen around Taiwan till 6 am (UTC+8).

The incident occurred after the recently increased activities by China around Taiwan. Taiwan has been independently ruled since 1949. However, China continues to claim Taiwan as part of its territory under the “a China” principle and forcefully emphasizes the re -integration of force if necessary.

Earlier on Thursday, Taiwan President Lai Ching-Tea directed Taiwan’s army to increase its security monitoring amidst increasing tension between Israel and Iran, stating the Central News Agency (CNA).

It is noteworthy that this order has come amid growing stress in the Middle East. Speaking at a regular meeting with military officials on Thursday, the President of Taiwan said that the struggle in the Middle East has not prevented China from continuing its pressure on the first and second island ranges on the first and second island chains.

Lai Ching-Tea said that Chinese aircraft carrier Shandong and Liaoning have recently been active in the surrounding water area. He said that Taiwan should be in close contact with his colleagues to ensure that he can react rapidly in all circumstances, CNA said.

Taiwan President Lai said the United States Indo-Pacific command has increased its force security level in the entire region. He directed the National Ministry of Defense and the National Security Team to closely monitor its impact on the situation and regional security.
