Earthquake struck Taiwan at midnight (symbolic)
Taipei: The land of Taiwan was shaken by a strong earthquake at midnight on Monday. The sudden earthquake created panic among the people and everyone started running outside their homes. This earthquake occurred in the southern region of Taiwan on Monday night. The intensity of the earthquake is said to be 6 on the Richter scale. Panic spread among the people after the earthquake was felt. The US Geological Survey Department gave this information.
It is being told that 15 people were slightly injured due to this earthquake. According to the US Geological Survey Department (USGS), the earthquake was felt at 12.17 am local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 12 kilometers north of Yujing, Taiwan. According to Taiwan’s Central Meteorological Administration, the earthquake’s intensity was recorded at 6.4 on the Richter scale.
No immediate reports of deaths
There were no immediate reports of any deaths from the quake, according to Taiwanese officials, although rescue workers were still assessing the damage. Taiwan’s fire department said 15 people were sent to hospital with minor injuries. The department said these included six people, including a child, who were rescued from the debris of a house in Nanxi district of Tainan city.
