Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghei shared this information about the conversation with America on a social media platform. The spokesperson said, “The talks will be held at the place decided by Oman’s hosts, where representatives of Iran and America will be present.” Earlier in the day, Iran and the US Ambassador reached Oman on Saturday before President Donald Trump’s return to the White House on Iran’s fast growing nuclear program. There is no immediate possibility of an agreement, but the importance of talks for these two countries going through an enmity for nearly 50 years has increased even more.
Trump threatened Iran
Trump had repeatedly threatened that if there was no compromise, he would carry out airstrikes by targeting Iran’s nuclear program. Iranian officials are constantly warning that they can try to make their uranium reserves rich in arms level and make nuclear weapons. The ‘flight-tracking data’ analyzed by the Associated Press revealed that a private jet from Pulcoovo Airport in St. Petersburg, Russia reached Oman on Saturday morning.
American envoy for Western Asia, Steve Witchoff met Russian President Vladimir Putin there on Friday. Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry released the footage of Tehran’s top diplomat Abbas Araghchi to meet Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi.
