Tahwwur Rana, accused of the Mumbai terror attack, had filed an emergency to ban India’s extradition before the ‘Associate Justice’ of the US top court and the ninth circuit’s circuit Justice. This application was presented before Elena Kagan, Associate Justice of the US apex court. A note released on the US Supreme Court website on March 6, 2025 states- “The application was rejected by Judge (Elena) Kagan”.
Rana is scared of India

Rana has claimed in a petition filed in the US Supreme Court that he will be harassed in India due to being a Muslim of Pakistani origin. He stated the danger of torture. Tehwavur Rana is 64 years old and is identified as Pakistani-American terrorist. Rana has also been a close associate of David Coleman Headley, one of the main conspirators of the Mumbai attack.
