Washington: There is a possibility of a tough fight between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican Party’s Donald Trump for the presidential elections to be held in November 2024 in the US. The results of the latest polls have come out in America before the upcoming presidential election on November 5. According to the poll, it is very interesting to know who is dominating whom and how much among Trump and Harris. Just 2 days ago, the first presidential debate took place between Trump and Harris, in which both the leaders attacked each other fiercely. Now the latest polls are expressing the possibilities of victory before the contest between the two leaders. Know which leader among Trump and Harris is more likely to win the presidential election?

According to the poll, Harris is ahead of Republican Donald Trump 47% to his 42% in the race to win the presidential election. Harris’ graph has suddenly risen after the presidential debate against the former president that voters largely think she has won, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll that closed on Thursday. In this two-day survey conducted among registered voters, Harris is seen getting a lead of five percentage points. Which is slightly above the four-point lead she had over Trump in the Reuters/Ipsos poll of August 21 to 28.

What happened after the debate?

Among voters who said they had heard something about Tuesday’s presidential debate, 53% said Harris won and 24% said Trump would win. Many did not even answer. Harris, 59, put Trump, 78, on the defensive in a combative presidential debate, highlighting Trump’s felony conviction for falsifying business records, with a stream of attacks on his myriad legal woes for office. His fitness and well-being were also raised issues.

Reaction from Democrats and Republicans

According to the poll, after the presidential debate between the two leaders, 53 percent of Republicans said that Trump has in a way won the election. While 91 Democrats expressed the possibility of Kamala Harris’s victory. According to Nielsen data in the survey, this presidential debate organized by ABC News was watched by 67.1 million television viewers. Whereas earlier in June, only 51 million people watched the debate between Trump and Biden. In that debate, Trump had an upper hand over Biden.

After this, people from Biden’s own party started appealing to him to withdraw from the race. Later Biden distanced himself from the race. Then Harris was declared the presidential candidate. The survey surveyed 1,690 American adults across the country, including 1,405 registered voters. The margin of error for registered voters is about three percentage points. (Reuters)
