Chile President Gabriel Boric Font India Visit: Chile President Gabriel Borik Font has praised the extraordinary features of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. President Borik said that PM Modi can talk to every leader in the world, he said that he is “the major geopolitical players of today. In his address at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Borik said that PM Modi can talk to every leader of the world in today’s time. You are supporting Latin American leaders in Trump, Zelancesi, European Union and Greece or Iran. This is something that no other leader can say. So you are a prominent player in today’s geopolitical environment.
‘India has changed’
Chile’s President Gabriel Borik Font also thanked for the warm reception received in India and said, “I have come on a state journey for the first time, I want to thank for the warm reception here, no one has come here from Chile for the last 16 years, and India has changed a lot in these 16 years.” He said, “Chile wants to work on its relations with India.”
‘Chile is associated with the world’
President Gabriel Borik said, “Chile is a country that is associated with the world, and now we want to work on our relations with India. We have signed many compromise memorandum.” He highlighted the importance of his country’s relations with India. President Borik said, “Chile is a country that is connected to the world. We are not dependent on any particular country, but we have relations with countries like China, United States, European Union, countries of our region, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Japan, Indonesia, Australia and now we want to work more deeply in our relations with India.”
Agra, Mumbai and Bengaluru will also go to President Borik
On the invitation of Prime Minister Modi, the President of Chile is currently visiting India from 1-5 April 2025. The President Borik is accompanied by foreign affairs, agriculture, mining, women and ministers, Arts and Heritage Ministers, Members of Parliament, Senior Officers and a large number of business leaders. Apart from New Delhi, President Borik will visit Agra, Mumbai and Bengaluru. This is President Borik’s first visit to India.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that both President Borik and Prime Minister Modi first met during the G20 summit at Rio de Janeiro in November 2024. PM Modi held bilateral talks with President Borik at Hyderabad House on Tuesday. President Borik also met the President of India Draupadi Murmu, who organized a banquet in honor of him and the delegation with him. India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has also met President Borik.
