Seoul: President Yu Suk Yeol, who has set up martial law in South Korea, has suffered a major setback. The constitutional court of South Korea has given an important verdict. The court has ruled to remove President Yu Suk Yeol from the post, facing impeachment action. Yeol announced martial law four months ago, after which a political storm arose in the country.
Court made strict comments
The Constitutional Court has made strict remarks while giving the verdict. The court said that the announcement of President Yu’s martial law has violated the constitution of the country. The court said, “Yu not only announced martial law, but also carried out the work that violated the Constitution and the law, including to gather military and police forces to obstruct the use of its rights of the National Assembly.”

Yun has also reacted after the court’s decision. He said that he has been sorry for not meeting the expectations of the public. Yun said that he would pray for the country and its people. He also said that working for the Republic of Korea has been a great respect for him.
