Phoenix: Senior colleagues of US President Donald Trump have criticized Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky. American officials have lashed out by American officials amid attending a European summit in London to gather international support for Jailonsky against Russia. During the meeting at the ‘Oval Office’ on Friday, there was a sharp debate between Jailonski and Trump. After the debate between the leaders, the economic agreement between Washington and Kiev could not be signed. Due to this controversy, questions have also been raised on America’s relations with Ukraine, as well as the possibility of ending the struggle which started after the Russia’s invasion in February 2022.

‘Jailonsky’s behavior is derogatory’

White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz said Jailonsky’s behavior at the White House was “derogatory”. He said that it is not clear whether the President Zelanski is ready to interact and compromise for the purpose of ending this war after what happened on Friday. Waltz said that regional concessions from Ukraine to end the war through negotiations would include “Russian concessions on security guarantee”, but he did not give any more details about what Moscow would have to do.

Efforts for peace continue

Mike Johnson, president of the House of Representatives, also reiterated the suggestion that Jailonsky may have to withdraw from the post. Johnson said, “Either they should come to consciousness and return to the conversation table, or someone else should lead the country and do so.” He said, “I mean, it depends on Ukrainians to find a solution.” But I can tell you that we are trying to peacefully. ”

‘Large rift in relationships’

Trump’s National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard said that this controversial meeting has created a “big rift in relationships”. Gabbard also objected to Jailonsky’s remarks in which he said that he did not think he had done anything wrong. After the meeting held at the Oval Office, the support for Jailonsky among the Congress Republics has been very low. But Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski criticized the Republican President’s stand to the people of Ukraine. Lisa is one of some GOP MPs ready to break ties with Trump in public. He wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ on Saturday “I know that foreign policy is not for the weak people of the heart, but right now, I am very upset because the administration is moving away from our colleagues and embracing Putin, which is a threat to democracy and American values worldwide.”
