US President Donald Trump said that he has received “strong signal” from Russia that he is ready for peace, as well as Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsci wrote a letter to him saying that his country is ready to visit the table of talks and sign a mineral and security agreement.
Trump said this while addressing the joint session of the Congress on Tuesday night. He said, “I am also tirelessly trying to end the horrific struggle in Ukraine. Millions of Ukrainians and Russians were unnecessarily killed or injured in this fierce and cruel struggle. There is no end to this. ”
Trump said that he received a letter from Jailonsky on Tuesday in which he said that “Ukraine is ready to come to the table of conversation as soon as possible for permanent peace.” Most of the people of Ukraine want peace. ”
According to him, Jailonsky wrote in the letter that he and his team are ready to work under the strong leadership of President Trump to “get permanent peace.” We really appreciate how much America has done to help Ukraine, its sovereignty and freedom. Regarding the agreement on minerals and safety, Ukraine is ready to sign it at any time which is convenient for you. ”
Trump said he appreciates the letter. He also said, “We have held serious discussions with Russia and I have received strong indications that they are ready for peace.” Will it not be right? ”
He said, “… It is time to stop madness. This is the time to stop murder. This is the time to end the fruitless war. If you want to end the war, you have to talk to both sides. ”
A few hours before Trump’s address, Jailonsky said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’ that he was willing to work in Trump’s ‘strong leadership’ for long -term peace.
