Peshawar: Four people, including a senior cleric, were injured when a bombings occurred during a Friday prayer at a mosque in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of North-Western Pakistan. The police has given information about this. District police officer Asif Bahadar said that there was a blast at Maulana Abdul Aziz Mosque in South Waziristan, in which Maulana Abdulla Nadeem, District Head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, was injured.
Police reached the spot
The official said that the blast was placed in the platform built by the cleric to argue in the mosque. He said that the rescue team immediately reached the spot and the injured were taken to the district hospital in Vana. “Police has also reached the spot and is collecting evidence,” the official said. ,
There have been explosions in mosques before
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, mosques have been targeted earlier, especially during the prayers of Jumme. A large number of Namaji gather in mosques on this day. Last month, six people, including JUI-S leader Maulana Hamidul Haq Hakkani, were killed and 15 injured in a suicide blast in Darul Uloom Hakkania Madrasa in the province. (Language)
