Pakistani outpost attacked (symbolic photo)
Peshawar: A post has been targeted in northwest Pakistan. After the attack on the outpost, at least 9 security personnel were killed and 5 others were injured while fighting the terrorists. This information was given in a media news on Saturday. Urdu’s daily newspaper ‘Mashrich’ said that terrorists attacked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan.
Army did not give official statement
The attack was carried out at Danda outpost in Shakai tehsil of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. However, there has been no official statement about the attack from the army’s media branch. It has been reported in the news that the injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police personnel targeted
Incidents of terror are common in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Recently, unidentified gunmen shot and killed 2 police personnel here. The incident took place near Tanda Dam in Kohat district, about 65 km southwest of Peshawar. After killing police personnel, unknown gunmen managed to escape from the spot.
