This big spacecraft of Russia, which is going to fall on the Earth for 55 years, created a stir among scientists

Moscow: A spacecraft, 55 years old of the Soviet era, is about to fall from the planet Venus. There has been a stir among scientists since such fears were expressed. It is being told that this interview vehicle of the Soviet Union landed on the planet Venus in the 1970s, which was still resting. But this spacecraft has now lost its control and can soon fall uncontrollably and fall back to the earth.

According to experts keeping an eye on space debris, The Guardian said in the report that it is very early to know where the spacecraft falls on the earth, where half a ton mass of its metal will fall or how much it will be saved when it re -enters. Dutch scientist Marco Langbrock estimates that the failed spacecraft will re -enter around May 10. They estimate that if it remains intact, it will crash at a speed of 150 mph (242 km/h).

Russia’s spacecraft is similar to a meteorous body

Langbrock said in an email, “It is not that there will be no risk in this incident. But we should not be very worried.” He said that this object is relatively small and even if it does not break down, “Risk is like a falling of a random meteorite, which happens many times every year. He said that there is a high risk of lightning during your lifetime. He said that the spacecraft is very low to collide with someone or something.” But it cannot be completely numerous. “

Capsule circling for 53 years

The Soviet Union launched this spacecraft in 1972, called Cosmos 482, which was one of the series of Venus Mission. But due to the malfunction of the rocket, it never got out of the Earth’s orbit. Most of its parts collapsed within a decade. Langbroke and others believe that landing capsules – a spherical object with a diameter of about 3 feet (1 meter) – has been circling the world in highly elliptical orbit for the last 53 years, gradually its height is decreasing.

These incidents can happen

According to scientists, it is very possible that the spacecraft of more than 1,000 pounds (about 500 kg) will survive even after re -entering the orbit. Langbroke of the Delt University of Technology, Netherlands reported that it was designed to pass through Venus’s carbon dioxide -containing atmosphere. Experts suspect that the parachute system will work after so many years. Heat shield in the classroom can also be weak after such a long time. Jonathan McDowell of Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics said in an email that it would be better if the heat shield fails, which would burn the spacecraft while diving into the atmosphere. But if the heat shield works, “it will remain intact and you will have a half -ton metal falling from the sky”.

Where can a spacecraft fall

It is estimated that the spacecraft can re -enter anywhere between 51.7 degrees north and south latitudes, or in the north of London and Edmonton in Alberta, Canada, almost to the Cape Horn of South America. Langbrock said, since the most part of the planet is water, the possibility is good that it will actually end in a ocean “. Earlier in 2022, a Chinese booster rocket made an uncontrolled comeback on Earth and in 2018 Tiangong-1 space station re-entered the Earth’s atmosphere over South Pacific after uncontrolled re-rebellion.
