Khan Younis (Gaza Patti): The Israeli will not back down from a strategic corridor in Gaza under the ceasefire. An official has given information about this. This decision of Israel may cause a crisis from Hamas and major mediast Egypt about the ceasefire. This incident has happened when Hamas recently handed over the bodies of four Israeli hostages in exchange for the release of more than 600 Palestinian prisoners. It was already exchanged in the first phase of ceasefire.

What is Israel to do

The officer, on the condition of anonymity, said that the Israeli army needs to remain in the so -called Philadelfi corridor located on the border of Gaza bordering Egypt. He said that the Israeli army will remain in the so -called Philadelfi corridor to prevent weapons smuggling. Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katj said in a meeting with local leaders that he had seen across the border tunnels during a recent visit to the corridor. However, he did not provide any evidence about it nor explained in detail about Israel’s plans. Hamas has said that any Israeli effort to maintain ‘buffer zone’ in the corridor would be a violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Will the conversation be held on the second phase of ceasefire?

The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is ending at the end of this week. Negotiations on the second phase are yet to begin. What will happen next will depend on the US President Donald Trump’s visit to West Asia Affairs Envoy Steve Witchoff. Vicchoff is expected to visit the region in the coming days. Hamas has said that being maintained on the agreement is the only way to ensure the release of dozens of people held hostage in Gaza for Israel. Hamas has so far handed over 33 bodies including eight bodies in exchange for about 2,000 Palestinian prisoners.

How hostage now Hamas has

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has resolved to return all the hostages and destroy Hamas’s military strength. The Trump administration has supported this. Now Hamas has 59 hostages, out of which 32 are being said to die. Around 150 people have been released under the ceasefire agreements or other agreements, while dozens of bodies have been recovered by the Israeli Army and eight hostages have been rescued. According to Palestinian health officials, more than 48,000 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli military attack. The dead have more than half of women and children. (AP)
