Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif thanked the political leadership of the country, including his coalition partners and opposition, for the “exemplary” demonstration of unity and integrity during a four -day conflict between Pakistani and Indian forces.
Sharif said in his address to the nation late on Saturday that to resolve long -term issues, including the sharing of water resources between India and Pakistan and the long -running issues, “peaceful talks” should be adopted.
India and Pakistan on Saturday agreed to stop all types of shelling and military operations on land, air and sea with immediate effect.
Sharif said that Pakistan has given positive response to the interest of regional peace to the consent with India. He said that Pakistan reacted positively to international diplomatic efforts. He expressed his gratitude to all friendly countries and United Nations Secretary General Antonio Gutaras, including America, Britain, Turkas, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, and UN Secretary -General Antonio Gutaras in reducing tension between India and Pakistan.
Sharif specially mentioned Pakistan’s efforts and support of China’s efforts and support. He said that he is standing with Pakistan in “this crisis of crisis”.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan described the consent of India as the success of the armed forces of the entire country and Pakistan.
According to ‘Radio Pakistan’, Sharif said that the ‘Operation Bunyan-un-Marsus’ of the Pakistani Army was successful and India’s action was responded to a professional manner. He said, “The country and our armed forces have proved that Pakistan is a brave, self-respect and rational nation.”
Sharif said that Pakistan had offered to join the reliable and transparent investigation of the Pahalgam attack but New Delhi did not react positively.
Sharif congratulated the entire country and armed forces on this “victory”.
Sharif announced that Pakistan will celebrate India’s action on Sunday (May 11) as “Yom-e-Tashakkur” (thanksgiving day) to give a “proper answer” of India’s action.
According to the statement, Sharif said, “We are thankful to Allah for this success, which made us victorious. It is a day to remember the bravery of the Pakistani army. ”
The Prime Minister claimed that under the ‘Operation Bunyan Marsus’, Pakistani armed forces gave a “full answer” to the Indian Army’s action.
