Murder of Mohammad Ali Hamadi, a top leader of Hizballah
Hezbollah Leader Sheikh Muhammad Ali Hamadi Killed: Sheikh Muhammad Ali Hamadi, a top leader of Hezbollah, has been killed. Hamadi was killed in Lebanon’s western Bekaa region. Gunmen traveling in two vehicles opened fire on Sheikh Mohammed Hamadi while he was standing outside his house. Hamadi was hit by several bullets in this attack.
Local administration is investigating
In injured condition, Hamadi was immediately taken to the hospital in the nearby city of Sohmor, where doctors declared him dead. The unidentified assailants fled after the firing, the local administration is investigating the incident. The reasons for the murder have not been known yet. In some reports, Israel is being said to be behind this murder, while others are linking it to a family feud.
FBI was looking for Hamadi
After the assassination of Sheikh Hamadi, the Lebanese Army has cordoned off the area. A search operation is being conducted to find the attackers. Hamadi’s killing comes at a time when a ceasefire is going on between Israel and Hamas. The FBI was also looking for Hamadi. He was wanted for hijacking a West German plane in 1985.
