Tariff war has been sparked between the US and China for several days. America has thought of changing its tough stance towards China. US President Donald Trump on Thursday expressed confidence to reach the ‘very good’ trade deal with China.
Going to a very good deal with China- Trump
In response to Beijing’s retaliation, the US has imposed a heavy tariff of up to 245 percent on Chinese imports. According to The Hill’s report, Trump said, ‘We are going to make a deal. I think we are going to do a very good deal with China. ‘
The problem will be very less- Trump
Talking to the media, Trump also said that he feels that America will have little problem in ‘dealing with Europe or someone else’. The US President’s remarks have come during the visit of Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni to White House. Where he has also expressed confidence to reach a trade agreement with the European Union (EU) before the 90-day break on mutual tariffs.
145 percent tariff on sugar exports to America
Till now 145 percent tariffs were being imposed on Chinese exports to the US. Reacting to the White House statement that China is now facing a 245 percent tariff on imports to the US.
America started tariff war- China
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lynn Gian said that he should ask the US side about the tax rate figure. Lynn said that China has repeatedly expressed its serious position on the tariff issue. He said that the tariff war was launched by the US and Beijing has taken retaliation to protect its valid rights and interests and international fairness and justice. It is called completely appropriate and legal.
China is not afraid of tariff war
Chinese leader Lin Jian said that there is no winner in tariffs and business wars. However, he said that China does not want to fight this tariff war, but is not afraid of them. He has expressed China’s commitment to shake hands and remove obstacles.
