Jaishankar will represent India in the swearing-in ceremony of America’s newly elected President Donald Trump on January 20. This information has been given on the website by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.
The Ministry of External Affairs has said in an information released on Sunday that during his visit to Washington, Jaishankar will also hold a meeting with representatives of the upcoming Trump administration of America. The Ministry of External Affairs said, “At the invitation of the Trump-Vance swearing-in committee, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will represent the Government of India at the swearing-in ceremony of President Donald J. Trump, the 47th President-elect of the United States.”
Trump has deep friendship with PM Modi
America’s newly elected President Donald Trump has a deep friendship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. When Trump was the President of America from 2016 to 20, Narendra Modi also became the Prime Minister of India for the first time. Trump visited India on the request of PM Modi.
