US President Donald Trump has signed a memorandum regarding establishing a center with a capacity of 30,000 people at Gwantanamo Bay to detain “high -priority criminal foreigners”.
The Gwantanamo Bay detainment center has been used till now to keep terrorists, but now illegal migrants with criminal records will also be kept in it. The agreement was signed on Wednesday. Trump directed the Defense Department and Home Safety Department to prepare this center.
According to the memorandum, Trump ordered the expansion of the Pravasi Operations Center at “Navy Station Guantanamo Bay” to accommodate the “high -priority criminal foreigners” and meet the related enforcement requirements.
“Most of the people do not even know about it.” We have 30,000 beds in Guantanamo, where we can keep illegal foreigners in custody the most dangerous criminals who threaten American people. ”
He said, “Some of them are so dangerous that we do not believe that their countries will be able to keep them in custody. We do not want them to come back so we are sending them to Guantanamo. ”
