Trump Fort Lauderdale: America’s elected President Donald Trump has issued a big statement regarding the death penalty. Trump’s statement came after Biden pardoned the death penalty of 37 people. Trump has said that there will be no leniency. Earlier, current President Joe Biden commuted the sentences of most of the people sentenced to death. Trump criticized Biden’s decision on Monday, under which Biden commuted the death sentences of 37 of the 40 people on death row to life imprisonment.

Trump said on Tuesday that Biden’s decision is incomprehensible and an insult to the families of the victims. “Joe Biden has commuted the death sentences of 37 of our country’s worst murderers,” he said on social media. This is beyond comprehension. Relatives and friends of the victims are even more saddened. They can’t believe this has happened!” Trump said that after assuming power, he will direct the Justice Department to implement the death penalty. He said he would take strict action in cases of “rapists, murderers and major crimes”. (AP)
