Tulsi Gabbard, first Hindu woman MP of US Congress: In the US presidential election Donald Trump After the victory, he has made some important appointments for the administration.
President Trump announced that former Congressman Tulsi Gabbard will be appointed as the Director of National Intelligence (DNI).
Gabbard, who recently switched from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party, has been a four-time MP and was also a presidential candidate in 2020. Tulsi Gabbard also has the experience of three deployments to conflict-torn areas of West Asia and Africa.
Trump said, “I am very pleased to announce that former Congressman Lieutenant Colonel Tulsi Gabbard will serve as DNI.
He has fought for our country and our freedom for more than two decades. Trump said Gabbard has broad support from both parties and her joining the Republican Party will strengthen the party.
Who is Tulsi Gabbard?
Tulsi Gabbard is the first Hindu Woman Parliamentarian of the US Congress. During his tenure, he has strongly condemned the atrocities against Hindus and other minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh. Tulsi was born in America, and raised by her mother as per Hindu culture.
He is a lifelong vegetarian and took the oath of membership in the US Congress with his hand on the Bhagavad Gita.
Gabbard has paid particular attention to the persecution against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.
In 2021, he introduced a resolution in the US Congress, emphasizing the need for protection of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. In this resolution he mentioned the atrocities committed by the Pakistani Army on the Hindus of Bangladesh in 1971.
He said that the Pakistani army killed, tortured and made thousands of Bengali Hindus homeless. Besides, he also expressed concern over Pakistan’s land being used for terrorism.
