The Federal Authority (ICP) for Identification, Citizenship, Customs and Port Safety has denied the veracity of rumors aired by some local and international media outlets and websites in connection with giving a lifetime golden visa to some nationalities by the United Arab Emirates.
The ICP clarified that the categories, conditions and rules of the Golden Visa are clearly defined according to official laws, legislations and ministerial decisions. Interested persons can get official information on the authority’s website or smart application.
It emphasized that all golden visa applications are handled through official government channels within the United Arab Emirates, and no internal or external counselor institution is recognized as an authorized party in the application process.
The authority had recently visited news articles from a counseling office located in another country, suggesting that all categories from outside the UAE could be obtained through consulting or commercial institutions under lifelong golden visa simplified terms for all categories. These claims have no legal basis and were made in the UAE without coordination with the concerned authorities.
This confirmed its commitment to provide safe and transparent environment for applicants and continuously increase their services through official digital platforms.
It also states that legal action will be taken against such false information spreading institutions in an attempt to illegally collect money from persons wishing to live and reside in the United Arab Emirates, so that they can take advantage of their respectable and safe life expectations.
