Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin
Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin made a big claim on Friday (local time). He said that the crisis in Ukraine could have been prevented if US President Donald Trump had been in power. He also said that he was ready to talk to them about the conflict. This information has come to light quoting CNN report.
Putin said, ‘I cannot help but agree with him (Trump) that if his victory in 2020 had not been stolen, then perhaps the crisis that arose in Ukraine in 2022 would not have happened.’ The Russian President confirmed that Moscow is always ready for dialogue on the Ukraine issue. He said, ‘As far as issues related to negotiations are concerned, we have always said and I will emphasize once again that we are ready for talks on the Ukrainian issue.’
What else did Putin say?
Let us tell you that a day earlier the Kremlin had said that it was waiting for signals from Washington. In fact, after winning the US elections, Trump had said that he would end the war in Ukraine in one day but later gave his special envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg 100 days to find a solution.
According to CNN, Trump’s new administration has not yet unveiled any concrete plans for how to achieve peace in Ukraine. But Trump said this week that Ukrainian President Zelensky had told him he wanted to make a deal and suggested Putin should also find a solution.
Trump told reporters on Thursday that I think Russia should make a deal. Maybe they want to make a compromise. From what I have heard, I think Putin would like to meet me. We will meet as soon as possible. I will meet you immediately.
Trump had said that every day we see soldiers being killed on the battlefield. Recently, during his address at the World Economic Forum, Trump had reiterated the urgent need for a peace deal to end the terrible war and expressed his desire to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin soon.
