United Nations: After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, the United Nations is irritated in view of the tension between India and Pakistan. United Nations Secretary -General Antonio Guterres has called for a “maximum restraint” to prevent the stressful situation from deteriorating further. This information was given by United Nations spokesperson Stephen Dujarik on Thursday. He condemned the terrorist attack that killed at least 26 people in Pahalgam.
Removing issues in a peaceful manner through conversation
Antonio Guterres said that we appeal to both Pakistan and India governments to exercise maximum restraint and ensure that the situation worsened. He said that we believe that any issue between Pakistan and India can be resolved peacefully through meaningful mutual dialogue.
When asked about suspending the Indus Water Treaty, United Nations spokesperson Dujarik said that both countries should not take steps that increase tension. He said that since the attack, Guterres has not had any direct contact with the leaders of India and Pakistan.
26 people were killed in Pahalgam terror attack

India also canceled all the visas issued to Pakistani citizens from 27 April and advised Indian citizens living in Pakistan to return home.
