United Nations: After the barbaric terror attack in Pahalgam, tension between India and Pakistan is continuously increasing. In view of the increasing tension between the two countries, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will meet in a closed room on Monday. Pakistan had demanded an emergency meeting on the issue. Pakistan is currently a temporary member of the Security Council with a membership of 15 countries. The security council is headed by Greece for the month of May.

Pakistan had ‘requested for a closed room consultation’ on tension between the two countries and the current Chairman of the Security Council Greece has held a meeting in the afternoon on May 5. The five veto holders of the Security Council are 10 temporary members Algeria, Denmark, Greece, Guyana, Pakistan, Panama, South Korea, Sierra Leone, Slovenia and Somalia in the council, besides China, France, Russia, Britain and America.
