America Georgia High School Shooting
Winder: The father of a student who opened fire at a high school in Georgia, USA, has been arrested on various counts, including murder charges. Four people were killed and nine others were injured in the student’s firing. Officials have given information about this. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) said in a post on social media on Thursday that the accused Colt Gray’s father, Colin Gray (54), has been charged with murder and cruelty to children.
How much can be the punishment
GBI Director Chris Hozie said in a press conference, “These charges have been filed because Gray allowed his son to keep weapons despite knowing everything.” Hozie said, “The charges against him are directly related to his son’s activities and allowing him to keep weapons.” The person found guilty for these charges can be sentenced to 10 to 30 years of imprisonment, while the minimum punishment for these murder cases is life imprisonment.
Inquiry was done last year
Authorities have filed an adult murder charge against Colt Gray, 14, the shooter at Apalachee High School on the outskirts of Atlanta. The teen was also questioned last year about online threats of a school shooting, and he denied making any such threats. When sheriff’s office investigators questioned Gray last year, his father said Gray was traumatized by his parents’ separation and was often teased at school.

The accused had complete information about the weapon
“He knew what could be done with these weapons, how to use them, and why weapons should not be used,” Colin Gray said in a report from the sheriff’s office. Classes at the school were closed Thursday, although some people came to pay their respects to the dead. (AP)
