US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has emphasized the need to reduce stress by contacting Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the need to work together for India and Pakistan. He said that the US is closely monitoring the situation in South Asia. The US is committed to promoting peace and stability in the region. Pakistan’s responsibility to reduce stress-India-India
On the other hand, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said on Thursday that it is the responsibility of Pakistan to reduce tension between India and Pakistan, as it spoiled the situation due to the Pahalgam terror attack and India only responded through ‘Operation Sindoor’. He said that with the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the situation started to spoil the situation from the other side (Pakistan).
We responded to Pahalgam terror attack-India
Misri said, “Our stance is not to spoil the situation. We only responded to the Pahalgam terrorist attack on 22 April.” Regarding decreasing stress, the Foreign Secretary said, “Pakistan spoiled the situation, we only responded. (Pakistan) is the responsibility of Pakistan.” He said that in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) meeting, Pakistan opposed mentioning the role of terrorist organization ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF), while TRF had already taken responsibility for the Pahalgam attack.
Referring to Pakistani firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, Misri said that citizens are being affected by Pakistan’s retaliation. Wing commander Vyomika Singh and Colonel Sophia Qureshi were also with Misri at the press conference. The Foreign Secretary said, “Pakistan’s identity as the center of global terrorism lies in various terrorist attacks around the world.” He said that Pakistan has been promoting cross -border terrorism against India for decades.
Misri said about ‘Operation Sindoor’ that India’s Wednesday’s action was Napi-Tuli and this terrorist was limited to infrastructure. In response to the Pahalgam attack, the Indian armed forces launched airstrikes on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) in the early hours of Wednesday. The bases that Indian forces targeted include Bahawalpur, a stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM). (Language)
