US Vice President JD Vance with his family
US Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha are visiting India early next week. He will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during this visit. The journey will be amidst increasing global trade disruptions due to the fee dispute of the Trump administration. The US Vice President’s office said on Wednesday that JD Vance and his wife Usha will visit Italy and India from 18 to 24 April. Please tell that Usha is of Indian-American origin.
Travel to India with children
Along with the Vance couple, their three children- Ivan, Vivek and Meerabel are also expected to visit India. During the journey, the family will visit Jaipur and Agra besides Delhi, where they will also participate in programs at cultural sites. The US embassy said that there will be a meeting between Vice President Vance and Prime Minister Modi, in which the shared economic and geopolitical priorities of the two countries will be discussed.
US Vice President is traveling to India in the backdrop of Trump’s fee policy. Due to the fee policy of Trump administration, there is a possibility of business disruption and global economic recession. A few days after the mutual fee came into force this month, Trump announced a 90 -day ban on it for all countries except China.
Sources said that US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz also planned to come to India early next week, but his journey has been postponed. He said that this journey of Vance will not be completely private and it will also include official elements. Vance’s visit is taking place a few weeks after American National Security Advisor Michael Waltz’s visit to India. Waltz had recently held meetings with Prime Minister Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.
Talks with PM Modi
It is being told that the US Vice President will hold talks with Prime Minister Modi on April 21, which will discuss various aspects of the Indo-US relations, including the issue of fees and the ongoing dialogue between the two sides for the bilateral trade agreement. (input language)
