Now USCIS will start a new application process instead, which is being described as more fair and equal for all applicants.
What will be the difference between first and now
Many employers could submit applications for one person in the previous system. But now in the new system for the H-1B visa it will be replaced by a more fair method that provides equal opportunities to all applicants, no matter how many employers apply for them. In the revised system, beneficiaries will be selected instead of applications. Its purpose is to prevent duplicate entries for the same person. This will eliminate the profit that large companies received in the previous system, in which they were allowed to submit several applications for the same person.
Registration fee increase
The registration fee will also increase considerably, which will be Rs 862 to Rs 18,555 per entrance. USCIS applicants will have to register online. Employers will have to register before filing the entire H-1B petition, which will help USCIS to accelerate the process. The new system promises better selection for employees fairness and more efficient application processing. This will also increase the expenses of employers, who will now have to choose whom they sponsor.
