New York: A US court convicted a 31 -year -old Indian citizen for sexual abuse of several children and sentenced him to 35 years. The Indian citizen is accused of showing his identity as a teenager through a social media app and befriended young boys and girls. After friendship, he won his trust. It is alleged that the person used to ask him to give more pictures related to child pornography and when these people did not listen to him, he used to threaten them.
‘Kurremula will remain under lifetime surveillance’
American Attorney Robert Truster said in a statement that Indian citizen Sai Kumar Kuraremula has been sentenced to 420 months in jail for sexual abuse and having material related to child pornography. He was living in Oklahoma’s Edmund on a immigrant visa. In the order given last week, US District Judge Charles Goodwin said that he would be under lifelong surveillance even after being released on completion of the sentence.
Kuraremula confesses crime
Gudwin said that Kurremula has given a wound to the victims and their family that will not heal throughout life. In the case of hearing of the case, Kuraremula confessed that he threatened a minor that he would go to his house and show his parents her pornographic photos. He also threatened another minor to make her pornographic photos and videos public. (Language)
