New York: Unknown people vandalized the temple of Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS), Bochasan resident of Chino Hills in California, USA. Baps Public Affairs gave information about the sabotage in Shri Swaminarayan Temple by posting a post on the social media platform ‘X’. In the post, he said, “Another temple was impure. This time the incident occurred in Chinese Hills in California. The Hindu community stands strongly against hatred. The community is together in Chinese Hills and Southern California and we will never let hatred root out. ‘
Demand for investigation of case
In this post, without detailing the incident, it was said, “Our shared humanity and faith will ensure that peace and compassion continue.” The organization ‘The Coalition of Hinduj of North America’, who worked towards improving the understanding of Hinduism in North America, drew attention to such incidents and demanded intensive investigation. The organization said in its post on ‘X’, “Another Hindu temple was vandalized- this time at the reputed BAPS temple in Chinese Hills, California. Even now, media and academics will emphasize that there is no hatred towards Hindus and ‘Hinduphobia’ is just a product of our imagination. ‘
Anti -Hindu slogans written on walls
The post further stated, “It is no surprise that this happened when the day of the so -called ‘Khalistan Public Collection’ in Los Angeles is approaching.” The organization has made public the names of 10 temples which have been vandalized or implemented in the last few years. In September, the BAPS Hindu Temple was impure in Sacramento, California and wrote slogans on the wall saying ‘Hindus go back!’ Another BAPS Sri Swaminarayan Temple was impure in Melville, New York, about 10 days before the Sacramento incident and the messages that spread hatred were written. The incident was strongly condemned by the Consulate General of India in New York. (Input-PTI)
